Herriot Way walk in the Yorkshire Dales
This is a circular walk named after local vet James Herriot who wrote books, which later became television programmes and made this area famous.
The walk takes in the towns of Aysgarth, Grinton, Keld and Hawes passing through some of the higher moors in the Dales. It's a 52 mile walk, ideally tackled over a few days.
