The names of the dales are familiar to most of us, often encountered through television programmes or books. The Herriot tales of a local Yorkshire vet brought this region to most homes at one time and latterly the BBC programme 'The Last of the Summer Wine', set around Holmfirth, endeared Yorkshire to another generation. Most of us love Yorkshire without really knowing why and much seems familiar and comfortable when we visit.
There is a vast amount to explore, visit and remember in the Dales including Herriot Country, the nearby spa town of Harrogate, Wensleydale and other Yorkshire towns famous for their produce and much more....
